WorldStrides Scholarship
The Helping Hands Scholarship evolved from WorldStrides employees’ belief in the value of educational student travel, as well as our commitment to providing educational and travel opportunities to deserving students.
The WorldStrides Scholarship is based off our belief in the value of educational student travel, as well as our commitment to providing educational and travel opportunities to deserving students.
For the past ten years, WorldStrides has initiated and sponsored different fundraisers with all the funds going directly to providing scholarships to our travelers. Program Leaders are able to nominate deserving student(s) during select time periods each year, and a committee of WorldStrides employees awards full and partial scholarships to the most deserving students.
Students who display the following characteristics are considered for this scholarship:
- Inability to afford this educational experience due to dire hardship or circumstance (e.g. deceased parents, terminal illness, etc.)
- Genuine interest in the field of study relevant to the particular program (e.g., history, science, etc.)
- Active member of the community (i.e., he/she participates in local organizations, school groups, teams, etc.)
